Will my PIN (password) expire again after February 4, 2008?
Yes, upon the first time of logging into STAR on or after February 4, 2008 your PIN will expire in 90 days from the date you re-set your PIN.
What are the requirements for creating/changing my PIN (password)?
When you create your new PIN it must be exactly 6 characters long and contain only alphabetic and numeric characters. The PIN is case sensitive and special characters are not permitted.
STAR is the central location for authenticating your PIN. Only when logging directly into STAR (http://star.wvu.edu) or going into STAR via MIX (http://www.mix.wvu.edu) will you be prompted to change your PIN. Once you have changed your PIN in STAR the new PIN will be used for logging into MIX and eCampus as well as STAR.
Note: Once you have changed your PIN please allow a minimum of 10 minutes before logging into MIX or eCampus to avoid locking your account. When a PIN is changed in STAR an event is sent to MIX and eCampus which keeps the PIN in sync on all three systems.
What happens if I change my password in eCampus?
If you change your password in eCampus it will not be in synch with the STAR and MIX PIN until you change your PIN again through STAR.
You may enter whatever you would like. Make sure you enter something you can remember and keep this in a secure location.

What do I do if I forget my PIN (password)?
If you have forgotten your PIN this can be reset without contacting the Help Desk by going to STAR (http://star.wvu.edu) and answering your Security Question that you provided the first time you entered STAR on or after February 4, 2008. After pointing your browser to STAR, select “Star Access” and click “Star Information System Login”. Next, provide your MIX ID or WVUID and then click on the “Forgot PIN?” button. You will need to provide the correct answer to your Security Question and then click Submit Answer. You will then be asked for a new PIN (password) for future access to STAR, MIX, and eCampus.
